Local pharmacies – providing minor ailment services

The Minor Ailment Services allow people who don’t pay prescription charges to obtain advice and treatment for common conditions from local pharmacies for free without needing to visit a GP. Some of the services offered are for:

Mums-to-be can self-refer to the antenatal/maternity unit online via completing the online antenatal self referral form. Their booking and referral line is 0208 887 3055 or you can email them for more information at northmid.newmaternityreferrals@nhs.net.

Royal Free London

Mums-to-be can also self-refer to Royal Free London to women living in and around Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Hertfordshire, Islington and Middlesex via their

They offer maternity care from several hospitals and community hubs. Their two main maternity hospitals are Barnet Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. They also provide maternity services at Chase Farm Hospital, Edgware Community Hospital, Cheshunt Community Hospital, Finchley Memorial Hospital and a range of health centres, GP practices, children’s centres and other community locations.
